GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for the day-to-day management of the relationship between several internal/external business partners in respect to managed account business. This includes maintaining the level of service, accuracy, and timeliness as set forth in the tri-party relationship. Responsible for the day-to-day management of a multi-million-dollar book of managed account business. Handles requests from Investment Executives that requires acute knowledge of managed account business and are beyond the scope of general Operations procedures. Ensures that all parties are adhering to agreed upon standards and helps manage and prioritize the workflow among the Brokerage Operations departments and outside business partners.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors and manages the new account workflow amongst members of the RIA Services Team.
- Establishes daily new client portfolios.
- Monitors client portfolios for accuracy in manager & account set-up as well as investment and trade execution.
- Monitors and processes various service requests related to the maintenance of new and existing portfolios.
- Maintains the level of service, accuracy and timeliness as set forth in the tri-party relationship.
- Handles requests from Investment Executives that require acute knowledge of managed account business and are beyond the scope of general Operations procedures.
- Troubleshoots escalated issues and problems within assigned area, referring only the more complex problems to RIA Services Manager or another Operations Manager.
- Develops internal/external relationships to their fullest potential, promoting teamwork and effectively cross training team members on all processes.
- Ensures that all parties are adhering to agreed upon standards and helps manage and prioritize the workflow among the Brokerage Operations departments and outside business partners.
- Organizes and maintains files associated with client documentation and correspondence to be retained for periodic audits.
- Accurately enters stock, mutual fund, bond, option and UIT orders through NFS.
- Receives and enters trade instructions as a backup for third party money managers.
- Executes advisor and management requests for trade error corrections, processing both directly and through third party vendors monitoring their successful completion.
- Processes Reorg items thru the NFS FBSI system for individual securities received from money managers.
- Identifies and resolves problems related to workflow, service and trading.
- Brings continuous improvement of Brokerage Operations/RIA Services policies and procedures.
- Addresses sensitive or difficult relationship/service issues with tri-party vendors and Fifth Third investment professionals.
- Brings issues of concern, as well as suggestions for improvement, to senior management in a timely fashion.
- Conducts the training of new employees in the RIA Services Department.
- Leads and manages special projects.
- Assists with Internal and Regulatory Audits of the FTS RIA program. Serves as a back-up to the Fifth Third Securities Trading and Broker Services Team in times when volumes are extremely excessive.
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the Brokerage business, staying well informed relative to the industry, regulations and systems with a special focus on managed account business.
- Partners with other business units to complete initiatives.
- Performs any other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or Economics or related industry knowledge.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 and 66 (or 63 &65) licenses required.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of brokerage operations and trading.
- 2+ years of prior trading experience.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Display intuitive judgment, systematic approach to problem solving and effective problem resolution skills.
- Ability to build successful relationships among team members, Investment Executives, Brokerage Operations personnel and external business partners.
- Ability to set priorities, identify and correct problems, and consistently apply high quality service to a demanding sales force.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Leadership skills, initiative, a detail orientation, strong analytical skills, and decisive decision-making skills.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible.
- Proficient with Microsoft office products, such as Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
