Position Summary

The Rights Management Specialist is responsible for managing Swank's motion picture and television content to ensure the content is referenced appropriately by employees using various systems and is displayed correctly to customers on the websites. The role requires a highly dependable individual who is able to meet deadlines and handle large volumes of dynamic data. The Rights Management Specialist must be results-oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the availability of motion picture and television content, which includes several steps:
      • Identify content to be ordered
      • Place and receive orders
      • Maintain proper documentation of title entry, contracts, and metadata
      • Assign rights to content across markets, formats and geography
      • Ensure that content is paired correctly across multiple systems, including the appearance of titles and rights on public-facing websites
  • Serve as subject matter expert on content and understand how it flows through the ordering, fulfillment and royalty systems
  • Take initiative to recommend efficiency enhancements through any stage of the various processes
  • Assist with special projects and support activities, such as consolidating the Master Title List and ensuring all systems align with the master list
  • Review and communicate title availability to fulfillment, sales, and marketing teams, ensuring they are aware of new content, rights end dates, etc.
  • Evaluate and analyze problems or tasks from multiple perspectives and creatively adapt to employ logical, systematic, and sequential processes to find solutions
  • Work independently to prioritize responsibilities and provide backup support to Rights Management Team members to ensure deadlines are met

Requirements

Desired Skills

  • Database experience and exceptional data entry skills
  • Ability to quickly learn software programs
    • Proprietary systems AS400 and unique SaaS Vistex GTMS software, a plus
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite

Organizational Relationships

  • Reports to the Senior Vice President as a member of the Rights Management Team and works closely with Marketing and Sales departments.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
