Humboldt Merchant Services - Remote

Humboldt Merchant Services is a merchant payment processor, providing payment acceptance for retail and specialty markets. 

This is is a remote hourly position with work hours Wednesday-Sunday. 9-6 pm ET
The primary focus of the Risk Analyst is to monitor merchant accounts and identify inconsistent merchant behavior. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical person that enjoys investigation and puzzle solving. Strong internet research skills coupled with a fraud investigation background is highly desired.

What you'll do:

• Identify and investigate inconsistent transactions with Card Issuing Banks, consumers, merchants, and all relevant parties.
• Monitor merchant chargeback activity.
• Daily communication with merchants being audited. Potential to speak to agents and merchant customers to complete a merchant audit to identify liabilities.
• Make decisions regarding merchant payments and reserve requirements.
• Consult with appropriate law enforcement agencies when required.
• Learn and maintain a basic understanding of card brand regulations.
• Communicate to merchants account restrictions and cancellations.
• Utilize Internet tools to gather information useful in determining account risk.
• Other related duties assigned by management.

What we need from you:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Investigative skills.
• Independent, self-motivated and conscientious.
• Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills.
• Computer literate in a variety of applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

How to stand out:

• At least one (1) year of college preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years audit/fraud analytics experience preferred.

Hourly Pay Range: $18-$25
