Risk Analyst Intern

About the role

Chime is looking for a Risk Analytics Intern to join our Member Lifecycle Risk team. You will gain valuable professional experience working with cutting edge cloud technology platforms and distributed systems alongside engineers with a wealth of experience to share. This is an exciting opportunity to learn while playing a role in a critical initiative at Chime.

This role is structured as a 3 month engagement. The starting hourly rate offered for this role and target level of experience will begin at $34 and up to $49. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to 

• Assisting with identifying, analyzing, and measuring risks across various areas (e.g., Enrollments, Authentication etc)
• Performing data analysis using qualitative and quantitative techniques to assess risk levels and potential impacts
• Creating reports and presentations to communicate risk findings to relevant stakeholders
• Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with senior team members
• Supporting with risk management processes such as risk assessments, scenario planning, and incident response

To thrive in this role, you

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Creative thinker and self starter with a passion for consumer FinTech
• Are flexible and enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex projects
• Have a low ego and are comfortable working directly well with a wide range of stakeholders
