Job Summary

The Coordinator, Risk Management responsibilities include reporting claims to third party administrators (TPA), fielding inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, processing invoices, producing routine reports and supporting Risk Analysts with day-to-day risk functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Receive, research, and respond to incoming written and telephonic inquiries, notices, invoices and correspondence which may include triaging requests to other department team members, third party support vendors and/or other departments.
  • Update internal and external reports and systems with information about risk incidents, claims and/or suits across all lines of business including but not limited to professional liability, workers' compensation, auto liability, and property liability. Produces routine reports for internal and external customers including Accounting/Finance, Clinical Operations, monopolistic WC programs and annual OSHA reporting.
  • Oversee monopolistic workers' compensation claims handling by third party administrators and acts as the liaison between internal stakeholders, external vendors, defense counsel, and insureds.

    Administer email notifications and reporting in compliance with legislation including AB685 and SB1159.
  • Receive, audit and process department invoices across all lines of insurance for timely and accurate payment.
  • Maintain Department intranet page (with technical support/training) including regular updates to tools and resources for use by broader enterprise.
  • Administer enterprise-wide ergonomics program including scheduling, conducting ergonomic assessments, managing third party vendors and processing related invoices.
  • Administer PCF program which includes: processing initial enrollments, overseeing the activities of the company's selected PCF partner, maintaining program documentation and auditing payment and enrollment reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as first point of contact for reviewing routine certificate of insurance (COI) requests which includes, but is not limited to coordinating periodic COI distributions following policy renewals, etc.
  • Responsible for fielding and responding to bond and claim history letter requests. Works with broker to address such requests in a complete and timely manner.
  • Triage incoming inquiries to department email box, distributes mail, assists with other department administrative duties as needed.
  • Support Risk Analysts in responding to documentation requests from internal and external parties and assists in maintaining claim related documentation.
  • Serve as the department "champion" for internal initiatives such as Ethics, Wellness, Records, Diversity, Sustainability, Learning, Engagement, or another formal committee.
  • Manage and carry out special projects as assigned.

Education

  • High School Diploma / GED | Mandatory
  • Bachelor's Degree | Preferred

Minimum Experience

  • Strong MS Excel Skills including experience with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables

    Proficiency in 2013 MS Office Suite
Preferred Experience

  • 2 years business experience in risk management and/or large size business
  • Monopolistic state workers' compensation reporting and claims management experience
  • Experience conducting ergonomic assessments for office workers
  • Experience with AB685 and SB1159 compliance

Pay Rate

$21.00 - $24.75 Hourly

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
