Risk Improvement Manager

This is a remote position for candidates that reside in the Eastern Region of the United States.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborates with branch management and home office risk management to develop plans, strategies and tactics to improve processes, efficiency, effectiveness and performance
- Manages the workload and performance of risk improvement team
- Identifies and selects accounts to designate as service accounts through collaboration with branch management and underwriting
- Meets with accounts to present services available from EMC, determines loss control needs and develops a service plan
- Completes on-site loss control surveys of policyholders' operations and assesses the hazard potential
- Prepares reports about common exposures and develops recommendations for policyholders to control hazards
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related sciences
- Ten years of related loss control or safety experience
- Safety, insurance or risk management designations prefered
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Superior knowledge of industrial, construction, fire, and commercial automotive safety
- Excellent understanding of various nationally recognized standards and codes
- Excellent, proven ability to identify and visualize potential loss exposures
- Ability to work effectively with others and independently
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Superior customer relations skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Travel required; a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if traveling
