Risk Investigator
Job Description
Beyond, is seeking to fill a fast paced, highly adaptive risk-based role. As a Risk investigator you will monitor for suspicious transaction and resolves fraudulent activities. Investigator will also be expected to address clients and cardholders at various stages of the risk review process. The overall objective as a risk investigator is to mitigate and prevent loss to Beyond while educating, protecting, and supporting our clients and sales representative.
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze information on proprietary and third-party systems to evaluate authorizations/Settlements.
- To detect and assess account anomalies and/or concerns reported by Clients.
- Review payment history and activity to identify suspicious payment trends.
- Capture and hold funds according to internal and external guidelines.
- Evaluate information and documentation to determine the validity of customer transactions and merchant processing.
- Works with Management and Teammates to improve systems, procedures, and processes to reduce risk and fraud losses.
- Works with fraud investigators, law enforcement, and other financial institutions regarding fraud accounts, applications, compromises.
- Educate Clients and Business advocates regarding the fundamentals of proper card acceptance procedures and best practices.
 General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Working knowledge of Card payments industry with a focus in areas such as risk mitigation, disputes, fraud, and/or loss prevention
- Sound Ability to use good judgment and show initiative.
- Quick Learner with the ability to be dynamic in uncomfortable situations.
- Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful and confrontational situations.
- Effective time management, organization, and problem-solving skills with ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of focus.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Min 2-5 years of Payments experience
- Full-time / Hours 3pm to 12am M-F(shift and days may vary)
- In Office role, working at our Support Center
