As a Risk Management Financial Analyst with Frost, you will be responsible for conducting financial analysis and evaluating counterparties that are utilized during complex financial transactions such as derivatives, letters of credit, and overnight financial institution borrowings. Responsibilities include writing annual reviews that incorporate financial analysis and research risks associated with upstream financial institutions; analyzing these counterparties and providing insights concerning risks to include recommending appropriate credit limits, analyzing aggregated credit limit recommendations for counterparties and their total relationship in order to manage Frost's credit exposure; researching and documenting any risks and issues to be considered; providing analysis and recommendations concerning the significance of risks and how they might be mitigated; preparing counterparty exposure reports monthly to be presented to the Central Credit Committee, Directors Risk Committee, and Asset Liability Committee; conducting daily morning monitoring and administration of Frost collateral allocated to derivatives transactions; managing the process of collateral reporting, transfers, and administration related to the Bank's derivative counterparty positions; assisting and presenting risk analysis findings and recommendations to the Central Credit Committee, Directors Risk Committee, and Asset Liability Committee; providing and explaining credit limit recommendations to committee members; assisting and creating other risk management reports as needed, ensuring that Frost properly monitors exposures; and assisting with maintaining and improving a system to monitor financial stability and risk of upstream banks.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- 1-2-year of experience in analyzing Banks and or other relevant experience
- Formal Bank Credit training (such as FSU)
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft computer applications such as MS Excel (VBA experience a plus) and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
- Familiarity in reading ISDA and CSA documentation
