OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the Bank's Risk Management function and contributing towards the development, implementation of the overall oversight of the Bank's Risk Management Program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages and maintains the Bank's Vendor Management Program which includes ongoing selection, monitoring, risk assessment, contract negotiations and relationship management;
• Implements strategies and processes for limiting risks through the appropriate identification, measurement, monitoring and control of elements related to the various strategic risks of the institution;
• Provides strategic leadership and guidance for all aspects of the Bank' compliance and risk areas including the following:
  • Regulatory Compliance; Community Reinvestment Act; Information Security Program, Business Continuity Plan, and Identity Theft / Red Flags Program; Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations; and Physical Security and Fraud Programs.
• Oversees and/or conducts pertinent risk assessments associated with the Bank's business activities;
• Facilitates the regulatory examination process with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities; and
• Reviews current events and legislation affecting the banking industry to ensure that the Bank's Risk Management Program addresses any upcoming regulatory and compliance issues, as well as assesses industry best practices in the area of risk management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field;
• A minimum of seven (7) years' related experience
• Specialized banking education and training;
• A thorough knowledge of key issues/risks inherent to the banking industry;
• A thorough knowledge of bank compliance/regulatory requirements including BSA and AML, as well as bank operations, products and services;
• Comprehensive knowledge of regulations relating to risk management and an ability to analyze and interpret government regulations;
• Excellent interpersonal relations, verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to partner with and positively influence others across the Bank;
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of the business and ability to provide the Risk perspective in a relevant, helpful manner;
• Strong analytical skills to be able to identify risks, collect data, establish facts, and provide valid conclusions;
• Knowledge of fraud and BSA Suspicious Activity investigative skills
• Demonstrated management and supervisory skills; and
• Moderate PC skills including Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

• Specialized risk management experience and training.

Location: Hybrid within reasonable commuting distance to Gettysburg PA as required.
