Team/Role Overview

We're delivering Citi’s next-generation cloud-based risk calculation system. It's used widely by all businesses to fulfil daily market risk calculation and reporting obligations of traders, salespeople, risk managers, financial controllers, and operations staff.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to full lifecycle of new feature development, including analysis, design, construction, testing and rollout.

• Play key role in code review process by providing feedback to others.

• Provide operational support on applications to stakeholders.

• Consult with users and other technology groups on deliveries and issues, recommend advanced programming solutions.

• Be able to operate with a limited level of direct supervision both technically and on project delivery.

• Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy, challenge decisions.

What we’ll need from you

• 2+ years of experience in modern Java development, preferably in agile(scrum) development methodology

• Must have: Good understanding of core Java, microservice architecture.

• A big plus: Experience with any of following technologies: Big Data technologies and Hadoop eco-system (HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Impala, Spark, Kafka, Kudu, Solr), Apache Beam, Apache Kafka, Spring, Python, Docker and Kubernetes, ELK, SQL

• Good analytical and communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
