Job Summary:
The Return Material Authorization (RMA) Coordinator’s primary function is to support both external and internal RMA’s. This person plays a vital role in providing customer support for products that need to be returned for repair, replacement or credit. They will be coordinating with cross-departments to drive RMA related issues to closure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Return Requests:
- Process return and exchange requests from customers and vendors.
- Issue RMA numbers and provide return instructions to customers.
- Customer Communication:
- Communicate with customers regarding the status of their returns and exchanges.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain detailed records of all returns and exchanges.
- Ensure accurate data entry in the system and track returned products.
- Coordination with Internal Departments:
- Collaborate with the warehouse, shipping, and receiving teams to manage the return process.
- Work with the quality assurance and product management teams to identify and resolve product issues.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate and analyze reports on return trends and product issues.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving the return process and product quality.
- Policy Compliance:
- Ensure all return processes comply with company policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to product returns.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 1 - 2 years of experience in customer service, logistics, or a related field.
- Experience in managing returns and exchanges is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge:
- Understanding of RMA processes and product return policies.
- Familiarity with quality control and product management principles.
Our base hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $22 to $26 per hour. Multiple factors are considered in determining base pay including an individual’s skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
