Robot Operations Engineer

Rapyuta Robotics is expanding globally with a US chapter and our US Team is hiring Robot Operation Engineers capable of supporting the team to ensure smooth operation of our autonomous mobile robots. The team works closely with some of the premier enterprise customers in US and Japan to build state-of-the-art robotics solutions by leveraging rapyuta.io, our cloud robotics platform, and the surrounding ecosystem. The team's mission is to pioneer scalable, collaborative, and flexible robotics solutions.

In this role, the Robot Operations Engineer will be responsible for:

• Working closely with Project Managers to devise, maintain, and continually improve project plans for deployments
• Installing and configuring robotics systems at customer sites
• Planning and executing the on-site tasks of commissioning of robotics sites in coordination with other deployments and operations personnel
• Customer support after installation
• Analyzing logs and debugging
• Traveling up to 75% of the time

Requirements

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field of study
• At least 2 years experience in similar role, such as: Field Engineer; Infrastructure Operations Engineer
• Prior history with installing, configuring, and/or maintaining combined hardware/software products at customer locations
• Intrinsically motivated to provide high-quality solutions and resolve issues encountered onsite
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Knowledge of Linux and the CLI
• Familiarity with ROS

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with containers (e.g. Docker)
• Coding in Python, C++, etc.
• Experience with logging and analysis in a Linux environment
• Understanding of computer networking
