The Software QA Team is seeking an experienced robot technical specialist to conduct meticulous testing to support R&D of new features. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally organized, methodical professional with the experience necessary to take Diligent robots to the next level in their Autonomy Journey with respect to accuracy, security, and safety. You will be charged with fostering a “quality culture,” in which Diligent Robotics employees become actively engaged in guaranteeing quality for new features. This role is located at San Angelo, TX, with a potential to travel within the US 25% of the time.

Objectives of this Role

• Collaborate with the robotics engineering team, to gain great understanding of the features to be tested.
• Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards. 
• Design and execute Testing procedures.
• Carefully maintain complaint and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems (i.e. Jira Dashboards).
• Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits.
• Develop new standards for Regression testing, with improvements as needed.
• Execute Test Plans for Release Testing. 
• Identify training needs for remote robot technical specialists and take action to ensure company-wide compliance (i.e. runbooks, training, sprint demos etc). 

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute testing plans for R&D features, Regression Testing & Release Testing to confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverables.
• Analyze and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines. 
• Maintain and analyze problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management and product development.

Skills and Qualifications

• Certificate in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in the QA field or as a robot technician/operator.
• Currently reside in San Angelo or willing to relocate to San Angelo, Texas.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management practice.
• Experience with Linux, GitLab.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Great attention to detail.
• Outstanding cross functional team member.
• Enthusiastic about learning new things and being hands on with robots and other hardware.
