Lincoln Electric is seeking a Robotic Engineering Technologist for our Euclid Automation operation. This is a truly exciting opportunity to be on the forefront of manufacturing innovation. The Robotic Engineering Technologist will participate in the design, development, verification, and documentation of automation products - primarily robotic system layouts, new product development, and tooling. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Workwith Engineers and Project Managers to support design deliverables of robotic automation products and projects.
  • Implement design changes and product enhancements as directed by senior engineers.
  • Create system and product documentation including system layouts, assembly floor drawings, fabrication drawings, manuals, and instructions as required.
  • Maintain and modify documentation of existing products to ensure they meet customer needs.
  • Interact with internal and external customers during the design process, as well as post sale support when required.
  • Given direction from senior electrical engineers, ability to update and create electrical schematics, harness assemblies, and electrical control components/assemblies.
  • Support quote team in proper estimation of projects as required.
  • Provide support of vendor RFQ activities
  • Assembly, verify part fit up and functionality, and adjustment of tooling designs as required.
  • Assemble, verify, and iterate as necessary NPD initiatives undertaken by the group.
  • Support engineering documentation sharing for quote group, sales, subsidiaries, and customers.
  • Work and communicate as part of a team that spans multiple geographic locations
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.

REQUIREMENTS

  • For Level II:

Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology & 3+ years of related experience or, Associate Degree in related field & 5+ years of related experience or, 10+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree

  • For Level III:

Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology & 5+ years of related experience or, Associate Degree in related field & 7+ years of related experience or, 15+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree

  • Experience in machine design and detailing for technical projects - mechanical or mechatronic in nature
  • Prior exposure to tool design, special machines design, weld fixtures, or machining
  • Proficient in CAD - Strong 3D modeling and detailing experience spanning weldments, machined components, sheet metal, and assemblies of moderate to complex machinery.
  • Experienced with workflow, PDM, and revision control concepts and packages.
  • Experienced or ability to learn SAP for general product inquiry.
  • Ability and comfortable to work with all levels in the organization and with external customers.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Must be quality conscious, highly motivated, and creative.
  • Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basis during occasions of hands-on assembly activities.
  • Willing to travel on occasion (< 5>
