Job Description

Brooks is a growing, fast-paced technology leader of automation solutions which support the dynamic and expanding semiconductor and life sciences lab markets. We have a Summer Internship opportunity in our Automation Software Development organization in Fremont, CA.

What you'll do:

• Gather requirements, write requirement specification and get spec reviewed by team
• Interact with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineers and understand system
• Debug/diagnose issue on an embedded system
• Write Python scripts to test features on an embedded system
• Unit testing over software emulation
• Test software component to overall system
• Work with rest of team in debugging system integration problems

What you'll bring:

• BS Degree in progress for Software Engineering Computer Science, or related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in working with a small team of 6 - 12 engineers.
• A minimum of 6 months of experience of working knowledge on C# , C++ Programming, robotics and motion control related software. Systems experience and System trouble shooting experience.
• The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, a motivated and quick learner, proactive in problem solving, requires minimal supervision and enjoys working with hardware.
