Description - Project Engineer

A highly motivated projects engineer with a multi-tasking and strong communication skills will be working in a highly dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible to manage and deliver the engineering scope of the project. Working with internal Robotics engineers within the team as well as other engineering groups within NOV globally to define NOV scope of the project, generate project plan and schedule, identify the critical path and work with engineering and manufacturing as necessary to deliver the project on time.

This role requires a highly motivated with a strong initiative approach skill. Responsibilities

• Generate project plans to define tasks and schedules consistent with the company's overall objectives, and ensure those plans are communicated across everyone involved with the project execution
• Track project progress and report milestones and issues to management
• Interface with multiple NOV engineering group disciplines as required by the project
• Interface with the customer occasionally as a representative of NOV engineering
• Prepare product specifications to identify design input and output requirements
• Identify the characteristics of the design that are crucial to the safe and proper functioning of the product including compliance with industry and company guidelines
• Prepare proposal layouts for sales. Evaluate designs for suitability based on Robotics systems capabilities.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures

Qualifications

• BS degree (or higher) in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering; A degree in other engineering disciplines could be considered with relevant experience.
• Location: 6390 N Eldridge Pkwy, Houston TX 77041.
• Hybrid schedule (3 days in the office and 2 days remote work) based on need of the department.
• Self-motivated and confident in dealing with internal and external customers, vendors, and third parties.
• A background in project setup, execution, and reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and associated bills of material.
• A knowledge of the drilling industry, NOV equipment, and rig design is preferred, but not required.
• Basic AutoCAD skills is required.
• Domestic and international travel may be required at times in support of NOV global operations.
