Robotics Software Engineer (Perception)

As a robotics software engineer, you will adapt modern research to robustly solve challenging problems in object detection and scene understanding using a combination of computer vision and point cloud data. You will work closely with a small team to build reliable and scalable software that guides a self-driving forklift through a variety of tasks.

Duties:

• Design and build components of a modern perception system
• Work with other engineers as part of a close-knit team
• Participate in production on-call support rotations
• Travel to customer sites for field support at least 2x / year

Requirements:

• B.S. in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong programming skills
• Experience with computer vision and/or 3D point cloud processing

Preferred:

• M.S. / Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field. 
• Familiarity with Tensorflow and PyTorch
• Experience with C++ and Python
• Experience training deep convolutional neural networks
• Experience with sensors and hardware
• Experience with warehousing or logistics
