About the Role:
As the eCommerce Operations Intern for Ruumur.com, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the shopping experience for our customers. This position offers a unique opportunity for any aspiring individual who envisions a future in merchandising for a fashion company. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, collaborating with the Operations team to ensure the smooth daily operation of the website. Your role will also involve close interaction with the Product team to identify and implement enhancements for the site, the Support team to address shopper issues and reviews, the Marketing team to align product promotions and campaigns to what’s performing well, and the Sales team to optimize inventory and maximize sales opportunities. This collaborative environment provides invaluable experience for those eager to learn the intricacies of the eCommerce industry and take significant steps toward their career goals in fashion merchandising.

About Sezzle & Ruumur:

Ruumur.com is an online product marketplace that is owned and operated by Sezzle. Sezzle’s customer base is looking for the best/lowest price in the market, and there are a lot of merchants/vendors that have excessive inventory issues. Ruumur helps to connect the dots. We help vendors to be able to liquidate their inventory by providing attractive offers/discounts to Ruumur customers (Sezzle Customers). Ruumur provides both short-term and long-term payment plans (pay-in-4 interest-free and up to 48 monthly payments with APR), which helps customers not only get the product at a discounted price but also pay for it over time. Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Help merchandise the Shopify site of Ruumur.com to optimize each collection page for increased sales and conversions.
  • Monitor Ruumur.com daily for any technical issues or glitches.
  • Upload product images accurately and consistently to maintain a visually appealing website.
  • Research and write detailed product descriptions to enhance product listings.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify pricing trends and product positioning.
  • Update inventory quantities on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy. 
  • Collaborate with the product team to identify opportunities for product improvements.
  • Assist in the management of customer reviews and ratings.
  • Respond promptly to issues that arise with products live on the site. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 3 years of coursework completed
  • GPA of 3.6 or higher

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using eCommerce platforms (Shopify experience preferred).
  • Excellent written communication skills for crafting compelling product descriptions.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO principles for optimizing product listings.
  • Analytical skills to interpret competitive data and market trends.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Compensation:

The compensation range for the role is $18 - 22 / hour. Our ranges are very broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.
