Safety & Training Manager

Location: South Florida Area

Position Overview: HB NEXT is seeking an experienced Safety & Training Manager for a client in the Central/South Florida region. This role will focus on enhancing safety protocols and training initiatives across various job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct audits and provide education to field crews on best safety practices.
• Collaborate with experienced area managers to foster a culture of safety.
• Utilize modern tools and software to enhance the current Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) program.
• Communicate effectively with VP/C-level executives regarding safety program metrics and areas for improvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Safety or DOT fields.
• Industry Knowledge:Extensive expertise in:
  • Electrical / LOTO
  • Lifts / Hoists
  • Utility Locates
  • Trenching / Excavation (not exceeding 4ft)
  • DOT Work Zone / Flagger
  • Power Line Hazards
  • Fleet Operations (optional)
• Certifications: Current OSHA-500 or 510 required.
• Commute: Must be able to travel to the regional office in Palm Springs, FL, 1-2 days per week and visit various job sites throughout the week.
• Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present safety insights and recommendations to senior management.
