The Company partners with its clients to develop and deliver cutting edge customized software solutions which are integral to its client's core business operations, from complex software solutions designed to streamline and automate workflow to web and mobile applications that enable business scale and improve customer experiences.

The Sales Account Executive role oversees building relationships with clients and creating a book of business. The focus is selling software and application development services and solutions to Fortune 1000 clients and large organizations. You will be responsible for prospecting and engaging with new customers through referrals, networking, and cold calling. The Sales Account Executive maintains relationships with their existing customer base through on-site visits, quarterly meetings, check-up calls, or follow-up emails.

Essential responsibilities

Generate and nurture leads

  • Effectively use lead generation techniques to assemble lists of prospective clients.
  • Actively prospect into new companies and organizations to add to our growing customer base. Cold Calling and Fanatical Prospecting will be paramount.
  • Establish new clients through outbound prospecting and marketing campaigns, and maintain relationships with contacts and decision-makers.
  • Build a pipeline of potential future business by prospecting via the Internet, phone, assigned lead lists, outbound marketing/lead campaigns and other sources as identified.
  • Qualify inbound leads and convert into sales opportunities.

Close sales

  • Coordinate with product, design, and development team to evaluate opportunities and discuss delivery capability.
  • Provide assessments & recommendations of software development services.
  • Schedule and lead sales meetings with clients and subject matter experts at Mutually Human team to uncover client needs
  • Lead the effort to prepare and present proposals to potential clients with support from the product team.
  • Overcome business objections of prospective customers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions with customers in a clear and detailed manner.
  • Consistently help maintain monthly and annual sales quota and revenue goals.

Ensure client satisfaction and extend services

  • Provide post-sales support to customers
  • Regularly check in with current customers to ensure client satisfaction
  • Continuously look for opportunities to extend services of current clients.

Establish and manage sales process

  • Begin to establish an internal sales process including tracking leads, creating proposals, bringing subject matter experts in as needed, etc.
  • Ensure and document activity level standards (number of calls, number of appointments, number of quotes, time spent prospecting, etc.).
  • Strategically manage sales cycles, manage accounts, and provide pipeline sales forecasts.

Observe and collect insights about target customers

  • Become an expert in the Software and Application Development industry.
  • Collect, analyze, and report characteristics of customers in order to continue to hone knowledge of the target market.
  • Effectively use the internet, database and other resources to better understand client's industry and business needs.
Additional responsibilities for Lead SAE

  • Review all proposals, SOW's and contracts.
  • Familiar with developing quotes and continuously work to fine tune quoting. calculator based on past metrics. Develop further processes and metrics to improve quoting.
  • Responsible for monthly 1-1 conversations and yearly evaluation of the sales team members.
  • Participate in company leadership team meetings, planning, and off-sites.
  • Work closely with the product team to determine timeline and capacity for projects.
  • Fine-tune process and documentation of sales process.
  • Quickly qualify, assess and quote projects.

Requirements

  • Must be able to learn how to navigate CRM and other sales tools quickly.
  • Must be able to understand and capture customer business requirements and provide sound solutions based on the company's portfolio of products and services.
  • Candidates must be detail oriented and able to write clear, specific proposals and statements of work.
Desired education and experience

  • A Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university.
  • 3+ years experience in sales with at least a portion being with a technology related business.
