Sales Account Manager- Midwest
Job Description
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for promoting and selling meviy, MISUMIโs On Demand Manufacturing (ODM) solution, to new and existing accounts by leveraging technical, organizational and customer knowledge. This role collaborates with team members across business units to accelerate sales.
- Evaluate and implement appropriate sales techniques to increase sales to assigned customers.
- Call on key customer company decision-makers that may include design engineers, mechanical engineers, buyers, or other key personnel.
- Provide prospective customers with a complete overview and understanding of the MISUMI ODM service and products capabilities.
- Train customers on how to use ODM meviy offering, including: drawing upload, detailing, revisions, order initiation, project organization and tracking, and other features.
- Collect and report account-based Voice of the Customer feedback.
- Recommend ODM product/service enhancements and future product needs that improve customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Perform occasional cold calls as directed by Head of Sales prior to engagement.
- Assist as needed with resolution of large outstanding Accounts Receivable issues.
- Conduct activities to convert customer leads to orders.
- Propose & review territory and account-based sales plans on an annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis. Detail ongoing customer project activity and forecast the types, volume, and estimated dollar value of components being considered.
- Minimum travel of 60%
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelorโs Degree, preferably in Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience is required.
- Mechanical components industry experience highly preferred.
- 3D CAD modeling software experience preferred.
- High energy with positive attitude to consistently develop, manage, and close sales opportunities.
- Highly organized and data driven, with a demonstrated ability to accurately forecast sales results, report day-to-day activities in timely manner and meet sales goals with limited supervision.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including delivering formal presentations to audiences of all sizes.
- Microsoft Office skills โ PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills are a must.
- Must be proficient in CRM(s) such as Salesforce and similar systems.
