About the Role
The Sales Analysis and Forecasting Manager will work closely with Altium’s global sales managers to analyze current sales data and ensure that sales and forecasting data is accurate and provide first-hand reports to management. And in doing so, create a performance culture and drive company revenue.
A Day in The Life of Our Sales Analysis and Forecasting Manager
- Analyze historical sales data, sell-through and seasonality of software units to improve order management and forecasting models
- Implement new sales planning software to improve the efficiency of preparing forecasts, as well as improving the accuracy of forecast scenarios
- Ensure forecasts are reasonable in context of past product performance and deploy analytical tools to help determine optimal sales strategy
- Support sales managers in completing sound sales forecasts year-round
- Analyze trends and seasonality, creating weekly spreads per item and market area for each customer group
- Establish forecast planning schedules and ensures the sales team adheres to timelines
- Create forecasting templates; maintain data through regular system audits
- Work with sales managers to align availability with sales plans
- Prepare ad hoc plans vs. actual analyses
Skills & Experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or operations management
- Experience with statistical and or machine learning based forecasting techniques
- Experience in analytical sales operations or accounting/financial analysis
- Skilled in advanced tools and excellent in Salesforce
- Experience with Tableau and Adaptive Insights software would be a distinct advantage
- Advanced MS Excel skills and a solid working knowledge of the Office suite
- Strong planning, organizing and project management skills with a focus on deadlines
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage ever-changing priorities
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
The salary range for this role is $145-155k OTE (USD) Actual compensation packages within this range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate and role requirements, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
