The Role

We are on the lookout for an outstanding Sales and Key Account Manager who is passionate about leading sales teams to maximise customer retention while aggressively targeting new, sustainable business opportunities. This role will be responsible for 4 x Business Account Managers across the VIC and TAS regions as we continue to evolve our salesforce into a more consultative, solutions selling sales organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established business with an impressive portfolio of products across animal health and to contribute as a key influencer to a sales transformation.

Your main responsibilities will include –

  • Managing a small territory of clinics and nominated key accounts within the region.
  • Driving sales growth of Provet high margin exclusives and corporate brands with current and prospective customers.
  • Increasing market share of total Provet/Covetrus enterprise business by winning customer preference with value-add propositions.
  • Executing customer segmentation strategies to identify and monitor business growth opportunities.
  • Investigating lost sales and customer accounts; working alongside cross-functional business units to ensure a continuous improvement approach to the customer experience.
  • Coaching and mentoring Business Account Managers to support increased market share with clear targets and success measures.
  • Driving the use of dashboards, key metrics, and KPI’s to ensure success is transparent and measurable.
  • Together with the Group Sales Manager, regularly reviewing and executing regional sales plans.
  • Positively representing the organisation at trade meetings and industry conventions.
  • Presenting sales, revenue and expense reports and forecasts to the sales leadership team as required.

About You

To be successful you will have;

  • A minimum of five years sales experience with managerial or team leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of demonstrating sales growth through the implementation of successful sales execution plans and customer capture.
  • Strong sales team coaching and mentoring skills
  • Commercial acumen to work with customers to understand their business and deliver a unique value proposition.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to work with a broad cross section of stakeholders from cross functional internal teams, external customers, as well as your core sales team.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen coupled with the ability to interpret and meaningfully present data 
  • Understanding of the animal health industry and previous experience using SalesForce is desirable but not required.
