Lilly USA Tech@Lilly is seeking a system engineer to accelerate the delivery of our Sales and Marketing data solutions for analytics and business purposes. What You'll Be Doing:

Understanding the U.S. healthcare environment and its complexities is both captivating and stimulating. This team works with the Sales and Marketing teams to provide healthcare providers with the correct information and the right time in the right channel to help patients access Lilly medicines. You will work in our Microsoft Azure and AWS platforms, providing the technical expertise and leadership to turn ideas and concepts into a solution. Building and implementing repeatable patterns, templates, and accelerators are vital to this position and will help Lilly enable faster adoption of cloud native data services across the organization.

How You'll Succeed:

As a System Engineer on the team, you must show curiosity and a love of learning to understand the U.S. healthcare landscape and how the Sales and Marketing businesses use technology to support end-to-end business processes. You will work in our AWS platform to provide technical knowledge and experience to design, develop, implement, enhance, and maintain fault-tolerant, resilient applications and modern data capabilities. Must conduct testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of data ETL pipelines, Data quality service integrations, and monitoring platforms to ensure system reliability and data accuracy.

What You Should Bring:

  • Desire to understand technology use cases and influence technology decisions within Sales and Marketing.
  • Familiarity working with AWS Cloud technologies and certification in AWS is a bonus!
  • Ability to optimize, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure components such as Accounts/Subscriptions, networking, and security services.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure platforms and technologies that provide the foundation for critical business applications across the enterprise.
  • Experience in platform practices and procedures such as infrastructure qualification, patching, monitoring, log analysis, edge computing, site reliability engineering, or disaster recovery
  • Experience engaging with business partners; understanding the Agile framework and a certification SAFeĀ® for Teams is a bonus!

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years working in Information Technology as a Data Engineer, System Engineer, Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Architect, or similar role.
  • Must have a strong understanding of cloud-native data services, relational and non-relational databases, and other cloud storage options (e.g., RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, S3)
  • Hands-on experience in validation quality and compliance standards.
  • Experience with standard development, security, and Operations (DevSecOps) processes and systems integration (e.g., Git or other cloud-based deployment strategies).
  • Understand least privileged security practices and service integration across roles, policies, and resource level security (e.g., IAM Policies, ABAC, security groups and resource policies, database access controls).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in cloud technologies or relevant certifications, such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrable experience in languages and tools such as Python, JSON, YAML, CloudFormation, or Git

Additional Preferences:

  • AWS developer certification or related certification
  • Agile certification
  • B2B, Sales, Marketing experience
  • AI/ML Ops experience
