Sales Associate - Building Materials

Bourget Bros. Building Materials is a building supply retail store serving the Santa Monica, Malibu, Palisades, and the surrounding communities since 1947. We pride ourselves in delivering excellent customer service and provide a wide array of high-quality, competitively priced materials including; lumber, plumbing, electrical, masonry, brick & block, tools & blades, tile, natural stone, flagstone, pebbles & crushed glass, landscaping supplies, water features & fountains, and home & garden supplies. Job Overview: The Sales Associate reports to the Front-Line Supervisor and Manager. The Sales Associate is responsible for engaging with all customers, get an understanding of their needs, being friendly, and professional. Job Duties and Responsibilities: · Provide friendly customer service by greeting and assisting with inside and outside product · Assist Customers with special orders · Write up deliveries · Place orders · Continually develop product knowledge · Answer phones promptly, check voicemail, take and return messages · Keep areas clean and organized · Floor assistance · Work other departments · Attend department meetings · Assist with store inventory Relevant Skills and Knowledge: · Great customer service skills · Ability to lift heavy items · Ability to work on your feet (standing and walking) for long periods of time · Ability to read, write and basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction) · Basic computer skills Point of Sale (POS) helpful but not required Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.50 per hour Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Shift: • 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
