Position Summary

In this Industry Sales Specialist role you will coordinate sales opportunities with new and existing customers to increase sales and market share in the Semiconductor industry. You will direct, communicate, and coordinate with area representatives, distributors, and customers, which includes end-users and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to achieve corporate goals and objectives.

This position reports to Director of Global Business Development.

What You'll Be Doing

Business Development

You'll work with new and key accounts to increase Banner sales and develop and grow Banner relationships within the Semiconductor industry. Most accounts will be domestic, but there will also be occasional international accounts. You may have a varied selection of accounts and/or large strategic account responsibility. Having room and bandwidth to take on new account development leadership / responsibility as opportunities arise is an integral part of this position.

Vertical Market Subject Matter Expert (SME)

You're an expert in all aspects of your vertical market or are working toward that goal; your areas of expertise include processes, procedures, appropriate applications, and market knowledge.

Global Leadership

Work with the global business development team, Strategic Account Executives (SAEs) and local resources to coordinate efforts, conduct regular meetings, and provide leadership in the market.

Product Development

Work with Banner product business units to provide market feedback, requests and needs, to help define direction of new product development best suited for the vertical or industry.

Marketing Interface

Work closely with marketing to provide SME input and help with campaigns, new literature, and LinkedIn.

Business Acumen

Negotiate, write proposals and quotes, secure contracts with new and existing customers, and close business deals; you will also visit domestic and international customer sites as necessary.

Professional Associations

Work with appropriate professional organizations and associations (i.e., SAE, SEMI, PMMI, MHI, etc) to utilize resources of our membership, coordinate trade show experience and success, and open avenues to our customers through memberships.

Reporting

Provide regular updates to leadership on progress and trends within the vertical. Enter timely and accurate data into our CRM.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or other related field
  • Demonstrated sales, marketing, product management or related experience
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word and Salesforce.com
  • Able to travel up to 40% both domestically and internationally

Preferred

  • Background in industrial automation or semiconductor industry
  • Experience prospecting for new business
  • Experience managing sales metrics, reporting, and forecasting
  • Selling experience into management level
