Sales Content Specialist

The Sales Content Specialist is responsible for creating and managing sales content that supports and enhances sales processes within the Credit Union. Content creation will include deeply informative and pertinent product resource documents, ongoing and developmental training material, as well as sales playbooks. The Content Specialist will partner with Marketing, Product Management and sales teams to maintain content relevance, identify resource gaps, and enhance product education.

What you will do here:

Content Creation:

Develop engaging and persuasive content such as product resource documents and playbooks. Product resources will be informative, refreshed per industry standards, trends, and aligned with current organizational campaigns. Playbooks will provide sales teams with effective methods of clearly communicating the value of various products, overcoming objections, and sharing relevant benefits with Credit Union Members.

Partner with sales teams to understand knowledge gaps that exist amongst products, executing sales strategies, and utilization of sales content. Update materials as necessary to overcome performance deficiencies, as well as develop tools and education resources intended for effective sales coaching.

Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to align content messaging with overall strategy and brand. Collaborate with Learning and Development to maintain consistent terminology used within training, aligned with other resources.

Market Research and Content Optimization: Regularly conduct analysis of market data, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Provide recommendations for improving sales methodologies, maintaining that content is accurate and refreshed. Work closely with sales leadership, and Sales Enablement team to gain insights on how content is being used and identify opportunities to improve messaging, clarity, and effectiveness of resources.

Resource Management and Tracking: Consolidate and organize materials available to sales teams. Establish and maintain a cohesive, robust hub of all materials. Regularly review reporting to track the effectiveness of content.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Bachelor's degree Marketing, Communications, Business, or related Field preferred.

4+ years experience in content creation, marketing, or communications required.

2+ years in a Sales role, or Sales Enablement preferred.

1+ year at a Financial Institution or training preferred.

Proven success to write persuasive, informative, and compelling materials required.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.

Strong detail-orientation required.

Demonstrated ability to conduct effective and relevant research, translate information, and share knowledge required.

Demonstrated knowledge of sales processes, methodologies, and techniques required.

Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with others required.

Self-motivated, proactive, and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment required.
