Sales Development Director
Job Description

We are looking for an inspirational leader to own and develop our global Sales Development team. The role will have a focus on developing world class people and processes, to support our ambitious growth plans by producing a constant pipeline of high-quality leads and opportunities. This exciting leadership role will form a part of the global sales leadership team, reporting directly to the VP Sales, and offers the opportunity to play a significant role in and exciting and fast-growing company.
Responsibilities Include:
Strategy
- Design and implement a global demand generation strategy for our sales team to support Blink's hypergrowth plans
- Identify, test and implement new lead generation strategies, including, new channels, copy, scripts, content, events, research, cadences, referral programmes and other innovative techniques.
- Oversee experimentation across sequences and run centralised testing effort, soliciting ideas for experiments, and ensuring they are run in a way that maximises learnings
Team Leadership
- Provide regular coaching, mentoring, and 1:1's to our growing global team of SDRs and SDR leaders
- Provide guidance and motivation to ensure that your team members are fully focused, motivated and unimpeded
- Foster a team culture of performance, passion, humility, and a learning mindset
- Manage the professional development of the SDR team and make sure they are progressing on an agreed career development path
- Produce and update relevant procedure manuals and train and onboard new SDRs, driving down ramp up time and time to value add
Analytical approach to continuous improvement
- Monitor team inputs and stats. Keep team members accountable to carry out their daily tasks and identify gaps for improvement
- Ensure best-practice data management procedures are adhered to for our Sales Enablement/CRM stack
- Closely monitor stats on conversion, calls, revenue and take action to improve wherever possible
Requirements
We're looking for someone who is ambitious and wants to develop in a fast-growing company. The ideal candidate will have strong sales acumen with a passion for helping others, combined with a tech-savvy background and an analytical mind for experimentation. We're also looking for:
- A proven track record in building, at least 1, best in class SDR programme, developing the sales leaders of the future.
- Proven success in a global SDR role, with success selling into medium and large enterprise customers
- Passionate about coaching, developing and mentoring. You value the intrinsic reward of helping others develop quickly
- Experience in building and scaling a high performing sales team
- Flare for creativity and turning prospective clients' heads, whilst maintaining an empathy for buyers
- Work to a high standard of accuracy, using data-driven decision making
- Experience working in a structured sales team, following specific sales methodologies
- Previous experience managing prospecting processes, as well as experience using Sales Enablement Tools such as Outreach, SalesLoft, Apollo or MixxMaxx
- Able to work well under pressure and prioritise workloads, meet set deadlines, and operate with pace and focus
