About the Role
Building the Future of Sales Development at RudderStack
RudderStack is a leading customer data platform (CDP) experiencing phenomenal growth. We're on a mission to empower businesses to thrive in the data-driven age and our Sales Development team plays a pivotal role in acquiring new customers. In this role you'll lead the charge in refining our already strong foundation and building a world-class Sales Development organization for the future.
We've made significant progress in areas like Account Intent flagging leveraging tools like Dripify and hiring the right SDR profile. Now we're seeking a visionary leader to propel us even further.
Here are the key areas where we'll focus together

Organizational Structure: We're moving beyond the traditional inbound/outbound model. You'll design a lean data-driven structure that leverages dedicated support (Data Engineering Marketing Ops) to empower SDRs. Cross-functional collaboration will be key.

The SDR Stack: Manual time-consuming tasks are a thing of the past. You'll champion tools that leverage intent data automate outreach with AI/ML (e.g. Dripify for Linkedin) and free up SDRs for higher-value activities.

Building a Winning Culture: You're passionate about creating a safe space for experimentation and fostering a culture built on Growth Mindset Grit and Accountability. You'll set the tone by defining clear ICPs becoming a product demo expert and continuously expanding your skillset.

Continuous Improvement: The SDR landscape is constantly evolving. You'll demonstrate a data-driven approach showcase how your approach to the role has transformed in the last year and detail how you've leveraged automation (e.g. LLMs) to replace manual tasks.

SDR Infrastructure for Success: You'll focus on the user experience for SDRs AEs and Sales Leaders. This means data unification (think one-stop shop in Salesforce!) leveraging automation tools (e.g. Zapier) for dynamic targeting and ensuring all processes contribute to high-impact activities.
In short you're a forward-thinking leader who thrives in a dynamic environment. You're passionate about building a best-in-class Sales Development organization and possess the strategic vision to take Rudderstack to the next level.

Qualifications

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in sales development or a related field with a proven track record of success in building and scaling high-performing teams.

Deep understanding of the sales development lifecycle and the latest trends (e.g. Account Intent AI/ML-powered tools).

Experience in designing and implementing data-driven organizational structures.

A champion for building a positive and high-performing sales culture.

Excellent communication collaboration and coaching skills.

Ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans.
