Sales Development Representative
Job Description
Wingspan is a remote-first company that provides financial and health benefits to self-employed professionals, freelancers, and independent workers, revolutionizing payroll for independent contractors. With $14 million in recent Series A funding led by a16z, we already have thousands of contractors on our platform and millions of dollars in payments volume. We are on the cutting edge of a rapidly growing market and are looking for a Sales Development Representative to help us scale our platform.
Your Role- As our SDR hire, you'll be playing a crucial role of breaking into new accounts within all levels of our target customer segments
- The day-to-day role includes collaboration with Account Executives, market research to identify new potential customers and leads, and qualificationof these leads
- Drive Wingspan’s outbound prospecting motion, generating sales leads that will turn into opportunities and closed business
- Eager to advance their career by demonstrating their ability to be tenacious self-starters every day
- Educate and develop leads through outbound prospecting via phone calls, videos, emails and events
- Generate email sequences and make cold-calls to map and penetrate accounts
- Conduct follow-up calls and emails until meetings are set
- You are an active communicator who collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to consistently improve processes and communication
- You have experience with Outreach.io
- You've worked at a fast-growing startup
- Experience in the HR or payments space is a plus
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and enjoy building and testing new processes
Requirements
- You have 12+ months of experience in an SDR role

- You are adaptable and comfortable with a fast-paced environment
- You are extremely organized and a diligent note-taker
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. At this time we are unable to transfer or sponsor visas
- At Wingspan, we pride ourselves on offering a competitive and comprehensive compensation package that reflects our commitment to attracting top talent. The annual total compensation (this includes base and incentive pay) for this role ranges from $60,000-$78,000, and is accompanied by a target equity package and an extensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. All figures cited are in USD and pertain to workers located in the United States.
