Sales Team reporting to Community Sales Manager

Hybrid: 75% In-person

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is an outgoing, motivated individual with a strong interest in connecting with Texas startups and identifying how they might fit into the Capital Factory ecosystem. You will generate leads both inbound and outbound and direct them to the proper business line, with a focus on Membership & Sponsorship opportunities. You will work with multiple Capital Factory departments such as Ventures, Innovation Council, and Community, to effectively pass off qualified leads. You are the main lead generator.

You will attend internal and external events throughout Texas to curate leads, including AMAs and Member Salons. This highly independent role will also assist with giving tours of our downtown location. You will attain a comprehensive understanding of our events and programs throughout the year and be able to suggest how an entrepreneur, founder, startup (or even investor!) might benefit from joining us. You will grow into a sales operations guru while interacting with hundreds of startups in the Texas ecosystem and beyond!

*This role is hybrid however a minimum of 75% on-site is required.

Requirements

What you will do

  • You will support the Community Sales Manager in optimizing space and revenue for Capital Factory, by providing lead generation for our virtual, coworking, and dedicated desk memberships as well as office sales.
  • You will track your leads in Hubspot, and ensure all data is kept up to date in an organized and easy to follow manner.
  • Meet with entrepreneurs every day, evaluate their business, and help them understand how Capital Factory can best support their endeavors.
  • Attend industry events hosted by Capital Factory and our partners, in-person and online, to network and connect with companies and partners that might be interested in partnering with and learning about Capital Factory.
  • You will meet with so many different startup founders that you have a great sense of the challenges they face and the opportunities they are working on.

You'll know you're successful if

  • Our rate of new membership sign-ups increases every month.
  • You maintain relationships with leads and follow up as a trusted Point of Contact in the ecosystem
  • Members that you recruited, refer prospects to you without your request.
  • New members that you recruit proactively reach out to a Capital Factory executive to give positive feedback about their experience interacting with you.
  • You are consistently finding new ways to iterate on our lead generation process, resulting in new connections.
  • You consistently generate a minimum of 20 new qualified leads/month in Hubspot.

  • You have a desire to grow with the sales team.
  • You have a passion for the startup ecosystem.
  • You are a documentor. You make lists and spreadsheets and look for ways to make our sales processes more efficient
  • You are a problem solver. You look for ways to make things work better and how to turn chaos into systems.
  • You are organized and plan ahead, but you don't get stressed out when things change at the last minutebecause they will. You roll with it.
  • You check your email in the evenings and are available to work during evening events and over the weekends when there is a tight deadline. You do what it takes to get the job done.
  • You have a reliable laptop computer & smartphone that you are comfortable using for work.
  • You plan to stay in Texas and commit to this position for 2+ years.
