Sales Development Representative
Job Description
ClassWallet is the first digital wallet solution for the education market, our mission is to empower education agencies to achieve the highest levels of accountability, productivity, and back-office efficiency while cultivating a culture of trust and flexibility for their staff and stakeholders. ClassWallet's technology helps our clients by automating the paper-intensive, incredibly time-consuming processes that exist in the purchasing and reconciliation process.
The Sales Development Team is a critical part of the Sales Organization and the tip of the spear in driving its growth. This role focuses on thoughtful, high-volume cold calling to identify, qualify, and transition new prospective clients to the Account Executive team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a large volume of outbound cold calls to potential clients to research, communicate and qualify potential opportunities.
- Identify and target appropriate decision-makers
- Work with Account Executives to ensure a seamless transition for all opportunities
- Capture and document accurate, complete information in the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) on all activity
- Attend and contribute to all assigned meetings
- Embody team player mentality
- Stay up to date with new organizational offerings/advancements and changes - Support sales process/lifecycle as needed
Requirements
Skills & Abilities
- 6+ months experience in sales development, cold calling or lead generation preferred
- College degree preferred
- Professional phone and communication skills are required
- Strong time management skills required
- Coachable, passionate with the desire to grow and improve
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Company Information Database/Wiki, team chat, & online video conferencing tools preferred - CRM (SalesForce.com) experience preferred
