We’re looking for a results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our team at Cybrary headquarters in College Park, MD. As an SDR, you will take an active role in helping us to expand market adoption of the Cybrary platform. You will develop targeted lists of prospective customers and strategize with teammates on best practices for call strategies and messaging. This role is ideal for those interested in developing a career in sales for a fast-moving tech company. Ideal candidates should be local to the DC, MD or VA area with a hybrid schedule in our College Park, MD office. However, remote candidates will also be considered with 20% travel to College Park, MD. 


What You Will Do:

We’re looking for a results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our Marketing team and work in a flexible hybrid environment at Cybrary headquarters in College Park, MD. As an SDR, you will take an active role in helping us to expand market adoption of the Cybrary platform. You will develop targeted lists of prospective customers and strategize with teammates on best practices for call strategies and messaging. This role is ideal for those interested in developing a career in sales for a fast-moving tech company. Typical responsibilities may include:


  • Following up in a timely fashion on pre-qualified leads interested in the Cybrary platform and speaking to 60+ prospects a day
  • Generating pipeline with pre-qualified leads by setting qualified demos for the account executive team
  • Achieving monthly quotas of qualified opportunities
  • Actively contributing ideas to develop our outbound strategy and driving pipeline growth
  • Learning about our market and share insights to improve the sales process
  • Effectively establishing customer relationships and identifying opportunities
  • Leveraging Sales Enablement Platforms, prospecting tools, and Salesforce to meet performance expectations and document activities
  • Collaborating cross-team to share customer needs, interests and opportunities
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities by strategically identifying, prospecting, and qualifying sales leads for your Account Executives.
  • Secure qualified meetings with decision-makers.
  • Accept feedback and coaching to continue to improve and develop skills.
  • Reach out to leads via cold calling, social engagement, and email prospecting.
  • Collaborate with team members to share and learn from best practices
 
Skills You Bring:
  • At least 1 year of sales experience required; previous experience in B2B sales and/or start-up environment a plus
  • Experience understanding the cybersecurity industry a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • A competitive nature and relentless drive to succeed
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, with a self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset
  • An eye for opportunity, and an ability to think outside the box
  • Passion for problem-solving and helping others achieve their goals
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills
  • Proven experience in using sales engagement platforms/tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach.io)
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with potential clients
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High level of resilience and ability to handle objection

Reporting to Marketing:

The Sales Development Representative will work closely with the marketing department to align messaging and target audience. They will provide valuable feedback from prospects to help optimize marketing campaigns and improve lead-generation efforts. Additionally, the SDR will collaborate with the marketing team to create content that resonates with potential clients and supports the overall marketing goals.

Sales Metrics and KPIs:

The success of the Sales Development Representative will be measured based on the following sales metrics and KPIs:
  • Number of qualified opportunities generated
  • Conversion rate from lead to meeting scheduled
  • Meeting-to-opportunity conversion rate
  • Contribution to pipeline and revenue growth
  • Overall quota achievement
 
Collaboration with Account Executives:

The Sales Development Representative will work closely with the Account Executives to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified demos. They will collaborate on account strategies and provide valuable insights to maximize success rates. The SDR will actively support the Account Executives in driving business growth by nurturing relationships and assisting in the closing process.
