Sales Development Representative
Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, well-spoken Sales Development Representative (SDR) ideally with knowledge of marketing agencies or marketing agency sales experience. As a SDR, you will assist our company in expanding our client base and will serve as the face of the company to prospective clients. You’ll be the first line of communication between the company and prospects. As an SDR, you will share our message, build professional relationships, and generate new business for the company.
To be a successful SDR, you should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. You should also demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and have strong analytical skills.
Sales Development Representative Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect new potential clients and develop sales strategies to draw in potential clients.
- Initiate contact with potential customers by making cold-calls or responding to inquiries generated from advertisements.
- Initiate contact with prospective clients through phone calls, email, and LinkedIn.
- Create relationships with customers to identify their potential needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive sales.
- Present product information to customers once you have identified their needs.
- Perform regular follow-up calls or emails and facilitate communication with existing customers to ensure their satisfaction and identify new potential needs.
- Research companies to determine fit.
- Schedule high-quality meetings and product demonstrations.
- Sit in on meetings you’ve scheduled with an Account Executive/Project Manager.
- Create and develop new opportunities for your pipeline.
- Effectively pass warm leads to the sales team
- Required to meet monthly, quarterly and annual productivity and sales goals
- Attends weekly meetings and provides updates on current effortsÂ
- Provides feedback/suggestions on how to improve current efforts in the SDR role
Sales Development Representative Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in Sales, Business, Marketing, or related fields.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and Self-Motivated.
- Ability to think strategically and tactically.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with good time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Great active-listening skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of rejection or criticism.
- Experience collaborating with internal and cross-functional teams.
- Highly skilled in negotiation and persuasion.
- Patient and able to practice good phone etiquette.
- Strong computer literacy skills.
- Experience using a CRM such as Hubspot.
- Experience with cold calling
- Digital Marketing (SEO/PPC) experience a plusÂ
