Sales Enablement Specialist (Ann Arbor or MSP)
Job Description
The Sales Enablement Specialist (SES) acts as a critical partner to the Thomson Reuters sales organization. The SES will work closely with sales leadership to define sales training initiatives and provides performance coaching to a dedicated group of sales and client management personnel. The coaching is designed and delivered with the specific intent of increasing job capabilities and sales performance. This position requires the SES to implement coaching initiatives, strategies, and objectives into a common organizational framework through partnership with the broader Thomson Reuters business (Segment leadership, Marketing, Operations, Proposition, etc.). It also requires staying current in effective training techniques and adult learning principles and being involved with special initiatives and project teams.
The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for learning and development and for helping others to drive top line sales performance. This candidate is a motivated individual who can work with moderate direction, and drive towards measurable increases in productivity across our sales teams.

About the role
In this opportunity as a Sales Enablement Specialist, you will:
- Conduct intake conversations and needs analysis with business partners to determine coaching needs, sales team priorities, and segment-focused initiatives
- Curate Segment communication and meets regularly with sales leadership to ensure alignment on curriculum performance coaching initiatives and Sales Enablement priorities
- Contribute towards the build of programs and project work, including continued sales education courses, new hire onboarding materials and internal projects
- Monitor the effectiveness of coaching material and evaluates projected new curricula and programs to determine overall effectiveness
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Hold regular meeting cadence with stakeholders to discuss priorities and performance coaching opportunities
- Play active role in the creation, design, and development of learning materials, including facilitator guides, online training, self-study guides, case studies, demonstrations, participant job aids and related materials, and simulations
- Migrate instructor-led training to virtual instructor led training (VILT) and eLearning where appropriate
- Complete all projects in an efficient manner, always evaluating the value of the project to the business to determine the appropriate time and resources to devote to the project
- Regularly create and take advantage of learning opportunities, including adult learning principles, VILT best practices, TR coaching techniques, and similar learning and development methodologies with the goal of applying newly gained knowledge and skill on the job
- Plan and implement projects by developing project plans, obtaining resources, and completing assignments in a timely manner to ensure learning outcomes are established and met
- Communicate effectively by expressing thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise and compelling manner. Model personal development by actively identifying new areas for one's own personal learning
About you
You're a fit for the role of Sales Enablement Specialist if you:
- Have obtained a Bachelor's degree
- Have a strong business acumen and cross-functional interpersonal skills
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills
- Have 2+ years Sales Enablement, training, coaching, or related field required
- Have Direct sales experience a plus
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Can demonstrated project management experience
- Have a strong willingness to learn and adjust to new people and environments
- Actively work to understand strengths, identify opportunities to develop, embrace new ways of thinking and apply new information
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Thomson Reuters business model, market dynamics and revenue levers, to inform and anticipate future sales strategies and learner motivations
