Responsibilities

The Sales Enablement Strategist is responsible for providing education and information to all firm sellers in a way that drives the success related to Marketing initiatives and campaigns. The role will be a liaison between Marketing and Sales and be tasked with creating internal content to support the adoption and understanding of the program goals. Further, the role will collaborate with teams throughout Marketing and Growth Strategies to develop messaging and presentations specific to the needs of individual practices. Additionally, the messaging and content created will be made with the Challenger Sale methodology as its guiding principle. The position's core measure of success will be defined by the impact it has in increasing win rates, expanding deal size, and reducing the sales time to close.

Responsibilities include managing the commercial messaging approach, which has the output of customer facing pitch decks. In addition to organizing the creation of the decks with the help of Marketing, Growth Intelligence, Customer Experience, and Pursuit Strategies, this role will be responsible for the training and socialization of the material to the PSO, Partners, Principals, and others. This role will also be responsible for creating comprehensive "sales plays" that provide sellers with tools and processes that guide them through the sales process. Tools include email templates, organization of collateral in spots / sections of Highspot, and battlecards with competitive information.

The Sales Enablement Strategist requires strong project management skills along with a solid understanding of the sales process. Strong writing and presentation skills will be needed to build content and educate other on how best to use it.

Growth Initiatives & Campaigns:

  • Work with multiple business partners to include Marketing, Growth Strategies, and the Professional Services Organization to develop and implement end- to- end enablement plans that support the success of sales campaigns and growth goals.
  • Define customer targets (client profiles/personas) and an approach for Sales to follow to engage the targets
  • Establish and manage a campaign / initiative "list review" process to provide Sales with an initially qualified list of potential clients to improve the effectiveness of the sellers

Content Creation

  • Possess an attention to detail and an ability to develop revenue generating content, based on the Challenger Sale methodology, that meets the needs of specific user groups, segments, or industry verticals
  • Organize existing, and develop new, internal Sales messaging to include newsletters, Sales Plays, and Battlecards
  • Organize existing, and develop new, external Sales messaging to include email templates and commercial messaging presentations.

Enablement Measurement and Evaluation:

  • Equip Sales with the knowledge and training required to effectively implement Sales Plays
  • Develop goals and metrics to determine effectiveness of content, communications, and initiatives as a whole
  • Use data to continually improve communications, Pitch Decks, and content with the goal of providing sellers with the right content, at the right time, to increase win rates and deal values

Sales Enablement Platform and Content Management:

  • Support the creation of the Sales Enablement content management core tenets, processes, governance, and style guide.
  • Provide support to the implementation, launch, and adoption of the Highspot Sales Enablement platform to include the loading of content and training of users

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Sales Enablement, Sales Communications, and / or Content Management experience
  • Strong communications skills including presenting, editing, and writing
  • Understanding of selling choreographies; and knowledge of the Challenger Sale is a plus
  • Content management experience and knowledge of the Highspot Sales Enablement platform; knowledge of the Aprimo digital asset management software is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving, critical thinking, and project management skills
  • Excellent work ethic and has a commitment to delivering high value, timely support, and exceptional service
  • Results and goal oriented
  • Familiar with the Salesforce CRM and its functionality is a plus
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite and excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Possess an ability to work independently with minimal guidance
