Job Description
- Responsible for complete coordination of specific customers as assigned
- Primary Lead, in control of the Customer request/order from conception to delivery
- Creation and modification of specifications for proposals and quotations for assigned accounts
- Sales travel for direct customer contact at customer's locations for assigned accounts
- Coordination of customer orders with Engineering, Production and Service Departments, including calling and leading contract reviews.
- Works as a Liaison between outside sales, engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, billing, and the customer to fulfill all customer quote request and sales orders
- Forecasting likely new orders
- Providing both positive and negative customer feedback; including lost sales
- Mentoring both new and established members of sales team
- Preapprove quotations before submission to the sales manager
- Participate in cost analysis initiatives as directed by management
- Participate in company trade show exhibits and seminars
- Responsible for following all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes, safety and environment requirements
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma required, some college preferred
- 1 year sales related experience and/or 3 years field experience in API 6A Wellhead/Gate Valves or API 6A Wellhead/Gate Valves manufacturing experience or 8 years' experience combined
- Basic understanding of manufacturing, particularly within the oil & gas industry
- Must have familiarity with MS Office type products
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
