As the Sales Engineer you will serve as an impactful member of the Payment Sales Team serving as the technical subject matter expert on all payment and related software products, and enhancing our payment sales team’s performance with the resources and support they need.  The Sales Engineer will deliver and execute on the pre- and post-close sales lifecycle. They will partner with the sales team to understand the needs of AffiniPay’s customers, strategize on how to navigate our sales cycles, provide compelling value-based demonstrations, support sales reps in managing free trials, and ultimately close business.

What You’ll Do…

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert in support of sales efforts for AffiniPay’s suite of payment and related software products.
  • Perform product demos to users and assist the payment sales team with closing opportunities as needed.  This includes helping sales reps prepare for various user requests and demo scenarios. 
  • Consulting with marketing on our users’ needs and opportunities uncovered during conversations and demos.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance payment sales productivity, revenue generation, and overall sales performance.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales training programs for the payment sales team that include product training for new solutions, onboarding new payment sales reps, or overall continuing education to better the existing sales reps’ performances.
  • Ensure consistent application of best practices, sales methodologies, and product knowledge throughout the sales organization.
  • Equip our payment sales team with the necessary resources to engage users by creating  and managing sales playbooks, presentations, templates, and competitive intelligence materials.
  • Provide strong leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the sales team, empowering them to enhance their skills, achieve targets, and excel in their roles.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor strategies, and market dynamics to inform sales enablement strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

About You…

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in sales and/or solutions engineer, including experience with sales roles and activities
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information
  • Ability to autonomously manage ambiguous situations
  • Strong interest in learning new and challenging platforms
  • Technical skills combined with significant social prowess
  • Genuine passion for customer service and an ability to troubleshoot deployments in an unknown ecosystem
  • Ability to identify and learn new technology and skills without explicit guidance
  • Comfort conducting demos and participating on calls for extended period of times
  • Experience working in a Salesforce environment with an understanding of the platform, users, and the partner ecosystem required
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and quickly acquire new skills.
  • Ability to perform amid ambiguity and understanding of Go-To-Market motions in the fintech and legal tech industry.
