As a Sales Engineer at Redflag AI, you will play a pivotal role in the support and success of our customers. The essential duties and responsibilities for this role include:
- Own pre-sales technical engagements including pilots, product demos, data queries, analysis, and visualization
- Organizing the client engagement from discovery of their needs and requirements to mapping out the implementation roadmap and detailing evaluation criteria, next steps, and timeline
- Support client projects, engaging directly with customers to ensure success and incorporating client needs into in-app self-service capabilities
- Advocate for customers, gathering feedback for product decisions and feature prioritization
- Track engineering progress for new products and custom client delivery
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies
- Analyze market and competitive data to advise product decisions and identify growth opportunities
- Write technical documentation, including product specs and API client documentation.
- Implement performance optimizations and cost-reducing practices
- Develop and track key performance metrics, utilizing data to inform decision-making and optimize product performance
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, applied science, design, and sales, to ensure successful product development and delivery
Education and work experience requirements are:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Science, or related)
- 3+ years of experience in Sales Engineer / Solutions Engineering or Product Management or Customer Success in a client-facing technical role, with a track record of delivering on software implementation for clients
- Technical background with the ability to collaborate with engineering teams and partner developers
To be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here:
- Detail-oriented, excellent note taking skills, ability to lead and organize client meetings
- Experience using tableau for data visualization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complicated topics in easily understandable terms to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to navigate and execute amidst ambiguity, finding simple solutions to complex business problems
- Experience successfully launching zero-to-one products with distribution or commercial success
- Passion for using AI to solve critical business problems
- Customer-facing role experience, strong presentation skills
- Passion for data and/or search
- Highly organized, self-motivated
- A consultant mindset to identify and frame customer solutions
Extra Points for:
- Experience with relational or columnar databases (like AWS Redshift)
- Success in an unstructured environment
- Experience with web-scraping technologies

At Redflag, we strive for salary range transparency in our hiring process. We always post our base salary range on our job openings, regardless of if it is required by state and local laws, as well as discuss candidates' salary expectations during our initial interview. This helps us put pay equity across our organization top of mind during the hiring process. Base salary is only part of your total compensation and rewards package, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant in the form of stock options and a bonus plan.
Base salary range: $ 120-140k
