Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for working closely with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet or exceed their expectations. You will also work closely with our sales team to develop effective strategies for driving business growth. This role is currently set as remote with travel requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and prospects
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients
- Lead technical discussions with customers to identify their needs and recommend solutions
- Collaborate with sales team to develop proposals and pricing strategies
- Perform technical product installations and upgrades for new and existing customers
- Provide technical support to customers throughout the sales process
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to remain knowledgeable and informed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in software and database systems. Can demonstrate an understanding of how to configure and relate data..
- Ability to travel frequently for customer meetings and product installations
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Other Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge, appreciation, or passion of the advances in higher educational software, course materials, and digital publishing is a plus
- Comfort and/or experience in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Ideal candidate is self-sufficient and highly motivated, self-directed and possess high energy and a passion for RedShelf
