Sales Engineer (Canada)
Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Visiting and managing existing key accounts throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.
- Developing new customer targets in the territory to achieve annual growth goals.
- Traveling throughout the region, with about 5-10 days of overnight travel per month.
- Working with Market Managers to develop strategies towards key industries that include cement manufacturing, mining, wood production and food processing.
Qualifications:
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a customer facing role – direct technical sales or application engineering.
- You have a knack for solving technical problems and providing solutions.
- You have experience in lubricants, chemicals, mechanical equipment sales, or key account development- a plus!
- Industry knowledge with mining, wood, paper, and cement is a plus
- You have strong time management skills, and are a self starter, who excels at planning efficient sales travel in your region to visit customer sites on a regular basis.
- You are good at customer follow up items (call reports, opportunity generation, sample requests, quotes, etc.) from your home based office.
- You can understand technical concepts and negotiate effectively.
- You are the type of person who likes to sell to a variety of markets, is open-minded towards unique solutions, and isn’t afraid to walk in a new door or develop brand new relationships.
