Sales Engineer Enterprise III

Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.

We’re looking for a talented Sales Engineer - Enterprise to join our sales engineering team. As a Sales Engineer focused on Data Integration, you will work closely with our sales teams to satisfy customers’ data integration needs. You will be responsible for providing timely technical sales motions, engaging in customer-facing calls, and collaborating with our internal Sales Engineering Specialists and Product teams focused on selling Fivetran’s Data Integration technologies.

• Fivetran's data integration platform, deployment methods, and security features
• Cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data loss prevention systems
• Programming languages such as Python, Java, and SQL
• Knowledge of at least 1 or preferably 2 of any one database like SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL, Db2 LUW, DB2 iSeries, DB2 z/os, Sybase, SAP ECC, S4/HANA, HANA

• Support our sales team with deep technical knowledge and understanding of Fivetran’s internal security operations, related platform features, and the security domain
• Deliver timely and accurate responses to prospect or customer RFP or questions
• Deliver and organize Webinars, Workshops, Presentations
• Attend trade shows, be willing to travel over 40% of the time.
• Work closely with Fivetran’s Product and Engineering teams to ensure alignment of our solutions to our customer needs
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in the security domain

• 5+ years as a database administrator, backend engineer, developer, or IT services within an enterprise or similarly complex environment
• Extensive expertise with modern cloud and on-premise network architectures, connectivity mechanisms (SSH, Reverse SSH, VPN, PrivateLink), and data security.
• Ability to effectively communicate Fivetran's ability to capture from High Volume Systems and Applications.
• Passion for data, security, analytics, and a philosophy of using technology to help solve business problems. 
• Curiosity to learn and assimilate technical information quickly, enthusiasm to share and teach others. 

• Speak French or Spanish or Portuguese fluently.
• Spark knowledge
• Kafka Knowledge
• Worked in pure data integration before.
