Responsibilities will include:
- Meet or exceed assigned sales budget for assigned accounts.
- Work with specific assigned Inside Account Managers.
- Work with Inside Account Managers to maintain forecasted sales pipeline.
- Represent the company at trade shows and association meetings.
- Enter trip reports, new customer contacts, and other relevant information into the companyβs CRM. Utilize CRM as dictated by company process, including tracking all sales related activity.
- Maintain/ Develop new relationships through outbound phone calls and sales visits.
- Develop new relationships within assigned accounts.
- Maintain up to date product knowledge of all company offerings, regularly educate customers of these offerings; pursue cross-selling / up-selling opportunities.
- Handle incoming phone calls and e-mails from customers serving as subject matter expert on products. Work with inside sales to provide timely and efficient answers to customer requests including answers to product questions and delegating order status inquiries to assigned Account Managers.
- Investigate and report customer complaints or concerns using company procedure; work with Account Managers to resolve issues within company guidelines.
- Work collaboratively and cross-departmentally to create and foster a team oriented, customer focused environment.
- Complete regular travel to customers, trade shows, and other customer facing events and meetings.
- Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-7 years sales experience in the data center, networking, fiber optic connectivity or related industry.
- Preferred experience working in sales as a regional or territory sales manager.
- Excellent people skills and an ability to interact professionally and effectively with individuals at all levels internally and externally.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Appropriate product knowledge and ability to learn new products and technology quickly and easily.
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Technical product knowledge, fiber optic transceivers, high-speed cables, copper, network connectivity, etc.
- Knowledge of CRM usage or other sales management tools is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of Oracle Netsuite or other accounting system is preferred but not required.
