Sales Executive, Testing Services - Lighting

JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFICATIONS
- Support sales planning strategy and maintain ongoing plan to prioritize portfolio of accounts within the Lighting group and maintain relationships throughout the year
- Interface with customers to promote and sell UL products and services
- Use technical credibility to build relationships with buyers and centers of influence
- Drive sales process from beginning to end, leveraging support from Sales Support Specialists and Inside Sales Executives when necessary
- Follow up with customer to ensure renewal of services where applicable
- Action on opportunities to sell testing services
- Meet with new logo prospects from inbound and outbound channels to qualify their needs, understand decisionmakers, and land new customers
- Support discovery, opportunity identification, proposals, and closing for sales of core UL products and services
- Leverage technical support (engineers) when customer has a qualified need
- Create and maintain pipeline of new logo prospects to supplement existing account activities, owns new logo process through close of sale
- Transition implementation to success / fulfillment teams after sales have been closed to ensure seamless service delivery
- Support development of Account Managers' multi-year account plans in Testing Services by providing insight on Appliance, HVAC and Lighting industry
- Support remaining account managers on discovery and opportunity identification for Appliance, HVAC and Lighting industry
- Work under close guidance of account managers to create seamless customer experience throughout sales cycle
- Provide necessary information to sales leaders during account planning process on potential growth opportunities
- This position is 100% Remote
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's and/or graduate degree in engineering or related field preferred
- 2-4 years of related sales experience
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the territory
- Deep knowledge and experience with the Lighting industry
- A proven track record demonstrating success with client business development initiatives
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Business acumen and deep understanding of business sales processes
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software. Salesforce experience is beneficial
- Midwest US territory. Prefer candidates from Chicago. Will accept candidates in neighboring regions
