Sales Incentives Specialist
Job Description
The role will focus on supporting the sales incentive compensation team. This will include tracking sales activity in support of several compensation programs. This will be done using internal systems and constant interaction with other partner functions and the sales organization. A component of the role will be the support of the annual incentive plan design process and maintaining current hierarchies of sales organizations for the incentive plan ownership.
The role will also be responsible supporting the design of sales targets using opportunity analysis. This will require the ability to balance financial objectives with business opportunity.
About the Role
In this opportunity as a Sales Incentives Specialist, you will:
- Get firsthand experience working with the sales organization.
- Learn how to design sales incentive plans and consider how to use compensation to motivate behavior and align the sales teams and corporation's goals.
- Be part of the sales target setting team that will issue quotas for the sales organization.
- Work closely with other members of the Commercial Excellence team in a common effort to drive sales results.
- Have the opportunity for visibility across sales teams and functions to develop your corporate knowledge, collaboration, and presentation skills.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Sales Incentives Specialist if your background includes:
- Undergraduate degree with 2+ years corporate experience in a finance or sales facing role (e.g. Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, Commercial Policy).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to give difficult messages on compensation. Similarly, thick skin and patience.
- A desire to gain detailed understanding of sales incentive plan structures and payout modeling.
- Must have strong Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on Excel.
- Ability to analyze, present and describe data and themes.
- Ability to multi-task across multiple stakeholders and deliver accurate results within tight deadlines.
