Sales Manager
Summary of the role:
Are you the next Sales Manager we are looking for?
Amadeus Sales Managers are responsible for identifying and capturing new GDS (Global Distribution System) business opportunities within a specified geographic territory and/or customer segment to expand Amadeus revenues and market share. This is an individual contributor role.
In this role you'll:
Develop and implement the sales strategy for the geography/target accounts under responsibility, working in close collaboration with the Pre-Sales team and when appropriate the Account Management team. Execution must remain in alignment with segment commercial strategy defined by Commercial Operations framework.
Lead a matrix sales pursuit team to sign new customers for the geography, being accountable for the performance and results of the team. Provide guidance and feedback to pursuit team members ensuring as much as possible that they fully understand the game plan and can help achieve defined objectives.
Review and contribute to the segment/geography pipeline and prioritization of opportunities in line with the LTP (long term plan) . Qualify and prioritize business opportunities/leads raised by the marketing team, etc., in terms of solution fit and revenue potential to gain more market share.
Lead, negotiate and manage large to extra-large deals to closure (contract signature), by establishing and developing relationships with C-level executives and key influencers.
Define, structure and analyze the commercial framework for the pursuit team. Present business case for all offer scenarios to Amadeus senior leadership. Provide clarifications and support resolutions of commercial issues to the rest of the organization.
Represent Amadeus at industry events and customer activities. Support Marketing activities and ensure pipeline is evergreen in Amadeus commercial systems (SalesForce.com, etc).
About the ideal candidate:
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor or master's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering and/or equivalent work experience
Work experience
o Minimum 10 years' previous experience in sales or account management required.
o Has a deep knowledge of the GDS: history, business, offer, strategy, technology and organization.
o Desired experience from other roles such as: commercial operations, marketing, or project management in the travel industry.
o Previous travel agency sales preferred but not required.
o US travel industry experience preferred but not required.

ยง Ability to present and has executive presence to effectively engage with C-Level contacts
o Relationship: Able to build healthy relationships with target customers and within the Amadeus organization to get work done
o Organized: Ability to multitask and never drop the ball. Can delegate and hold other team members accountable
Will consider candidates located in all locations within the US - this is a remote position.
