As a result, unlike many other OEM or supplier organizations, Garrett Advancing Motion has visibility across a broad range of OEM's and Tier 1 suppliers.
We are hiring for a Sales Manager who will be based in our Carmel, Indiana facility.
Responsibilities Include:
- Work with cross functional team to meet customer & business expectations for performance, quality, capability, cost and timelines.
- Prepare and submit quotations and negotiate new business opportunities.
- Establish and negotiate potential customer terms and conditions, warranty agreements, purchasing conditions, delivery agreements etc.
- Manage VOC process, gap analysis and improvement action plans within TS16949 expectations.
- Drive excellence in customer service (quality, delivery, value, pricing strategy) and product development for the relevant technologies.
- Evolve rolling forecast into Annual Operating Plan and budget. Develop the annual 5-7 Year forecast as appropriate.
- Implement agreed business metrics to a multi-discipline team and ensure proper execution: revenues, gross margin, customer quality PPM, new business wins, past dues, forecast accuracy metrics, % LRR completion, pricing target, homologation target, customer terms and conditions.
- Consult with Application engineering to ensure cost effective applications of products and provide information to determine future product strategy.
- Work closely with Integrated Supply Chain on plant selection and allocation processes.
- Coordinate demand management activities within ERP / forecast process.
- Awareness of industry, market and legislative drivers that impact upon specific system business.
- Work with sales leaders from other regions on national and international accounts.
- Demonstrate the use of E business tools | SFDC, Power BI, Market View.
- Communicate precisely and objectively with functional leaders and other business teams to ensure standardize processes and best practices sharing.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, and or Engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in cross-functional roles with increasing responsibility within the Commercial Vehicle or Automotive Industry.
Additional Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- Strong functional background in operations, finance, engineering sales and marketing.
- Successful track record in customer negotiations and strategy development.
- Proven ability to successfully work within a highly matrixed organization.
- Ability to lead and manage business priorities.
- Ability to maintain excellent customer relations.
- Strong working knowledge of turbocharger technology and design.
- Strong leadership experience.
