About the Team: Our Account Management team works closely with our existing customers and with our Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to ensure our customers achieve their primary business objectives. Our team is responsible for managing expansion sales cycles from lead generation / opportunity creation to close and also partners with our Renewals Managers on single and multi-year contract renewals.

As the Sales Manager, Account Management you’ll work directly with our Vice President of Sales to master our product, sales process, forecast methodology and internal tools – and then train and motivate Account Managers to successfully meet with both our customers/prospects and internal partners (Customer Success Managers, Renewals Managers, etc.) and sell our platform to achieve your goals.

What you get to do every day:

  • Run the day-to-day activities of a Customer Sales team and maintaining AlertMedia processes
  • Achieving your team-based quota
  • Meet weekly with your Account Managers to discuss their forecast, pipeline, individual opportunities, territories and pathway to exceeding their quota.
  • Collaborate across various internal teams to ensure the overall success of the program and annual team goal achievement. Including but, not limited to the following:
       Customer and Field Marketing
       Customer Success Managers
       Renewals Managers
       Product Marketing
       Finance
  • Meet with customers to help Account Managers with sales growth, negotiations, product demos, new product overviews, support related questions, etc.
  • Identifying, recruiting, interviewing and hiring sales talent
  • Mentoring your team members to create clear paths toward their own career goals
  • Identifying problems and proactively creating comprehensive plans of action to present to senior management
  • Delivering forecast to VP of Sales on a weekly basis
  • Driving forecast reviews with Account Managers weekly
  • Delivering upon other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by senior management

What you bring to the role:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in B2B SaaS sales
  • 2+ years’ experience managing an account management or customer sales team
  • A people first, process oriented and data driven mindset
  • Experience managing sales teams with complex, multi-threaded sales processes
  • Ability to influence others including senior level and C-suite staff
  • Ability to travel
  • This position is open to applicants in the continental United States. Austin, TX, preferred.
