Job Description

MALKA Media is looking for a Sales Manager, Brand Partnerships with previous experience in the digital media space, a proven track record in new business sales, and strong brand relationships. In this role, you will have full ownership and accountability for managing your business through the full sales cycle from concept to execution, all the way through the renewal process. You will manage existing partnerships and continuously build new partnerships with the desire to increase the growth of our business.

We produce feature documentaries, shows, and podcasts, represent talent in the NFL, UFC, and esports, develop ad campaigns and creative for some of the biggest brands in the world, produce daily live streams and entertainment for virtual audiences, and create thousands of pieces of video, design, and animated content across every visual medium that exists. We took what was typically done by multiple vendors and built it under a single roof. Not only does that allow our creatives to expand their capabilities-it elevates every piece of content that comes out of our studio. This is content at the speed of culture. With facilities in Santa Monica, CA, and Jersey City, NJ and over 150 creatives, we plug in anywhere, anytime, on projects large and small, for clients across every industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new clients, including the ability to qualify and close new accounts.
  • Research partners, identify key players and opportunities, and generate interest.
  • Establish a collaborative business relationship between Malka and Fortune 500 companies. While you continue to keep a great ongoing relationship and offer new ways to grow brand partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align on goals with new and existing brand partners.
  • Forge senior-level relationships with brands and manage business meetings with C-level clients in order to influence strategic direction with these prospective accounts.
  • Identify and source partnership opportunities through inbound leads and outbound calls, emails, while you meticulously track activity.
  • Develop a sales strategy and business plan for generating revenue through premium direct brands as well as ad agency business.
  • Provide prompt follow-ups to all inbound inquiries, track activity, and provide weekly updates to the Head of Partnerships.
  • Work closely with pre & post-sales teams to successfully execute partnerships.
  • Manage success metrics and provide world-class service in partnership with our account management and operations team - monitor partner campaign performance and swiftly adjust the tactics as needed.
  • Thought leadership - immersing yourself in the evolving media landscape, while adapting to Malka's ongoing product developments across our network of shows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in digital media sales, partnerships, and/or business development experience in sports and entertainment. Video and podcast sales experience is a major plus!
  • Experience in working with Fortune 500 companies.
  • Proven track record for driving partnerships and running successful campaigns.
  • Experience at a leading publisher, audio, and/or social media platform is a major plus.
  • Strong track record of success driving revenue through discovering, prospecting, creating new business, and growing and retaining existing business.
  • Outstanding communications skills including negotiation skills and exemplary consultative selling skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with various teams, managing projects at scale, and delivering results.
  • An understanding of social ad products.
  • Passionate about social advertising and new media.
  • A self-starter with relentless drive and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the online advertising industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving company and industry.
  • Skilled in crafting presentations and written pitch materials a plus.
