Our technology-forward omnichannel and API-first solution allows any merchant to offer protection plans, both online and in store, while also providing a merchant's end customers with a vastly improved and modern support experience that eliminates many of the issues customers face today with legacy underwriters. More recently, Extend also launched a shipping protection solution, covering consumers in the case of lost, damaged or stolen packages. This is further expanding the company’s addressable market and value creation for merchants.
We are a venture-backed startup in downtown San Francisco led by founders who have previously had multiple successful exits. Extend simplifies the technology stack for the product and shipping protection industries.
About the Role:
The Extend Sales team drives the company forward by bringing our post sales merchant solutions to new customers and educating existing customers about new products. Extend is looking for a San Francisco Based sales leader to manage the operational performance of our Emerging Brands team
We are a tight knit, high-energy crew that is made up of Business Development, Account Executives, Sales Operations and Sales Enablement. We are an evolving and growing team that values excellence in all that we do and strives to achieve extraordinary things.
As a sales leader at Extend, you will lead a team of Emerging Brands Account Executives into the next phase of growth. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this position will have a huge impact on the future of our company. Our sales leaders are responsible for driving meaningful revenue and beating expectations quarter over quarter. This person will manage the operational performance of 6 - 10 Account Executives - fine-tuning to optimize and accelerate the team’s sales motion.
This new member of our Sales Leadership team is a MEDDIC practitioner and student of all things sales that works to improve every day. They will learn from our existing teams and draw from their experience and success to help mold and build upon everything from the team’s strategic territory planning to the overall sales motion. The Emerging Brands Sales Leader must be an authentic collaborator, strong leader and a proactive, strategic problem solver - that believes in the importance of data and rolls up their sleeves to do the work necessary.
This role will be hybrid with a requirement of at least 3 days in our San Francisco office.

As the Emerging Brands Sales Manager at Extend you will:
- Lead a team of Emerging Brands AEs in the execution of the strategy set by the VP of Sales - orchestrating a team of winning AEs to dominate their assigned territories.
- Focus on first, second and third level data to surface levers that accelerate the team’s performance, growth and sales velocity - challenging the status quo and offering new ways to accelerate growth.
- Hire and develop talent to promote using Extend’s Always On Sales Enablement program as the foundation for career growth to ramp and retain elite sales talent.
- Optimize the sales motion sourcing areas for improvement and develop new account and vertical strategies that move deals up market.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Experience leading sellers employing MEDDIC qualification methodology
- Both SMB and Mid-Market Sales leadership experience at a high-growth Series C/D start-up.
- A demonstrated track record of exceeding goals in a fast paced, high-stress/high reward environment
- Experience driving $8 - 10mm in net new ARR while managing a healthy pipeline of expansion accounts.
- A genuine interest and excitement in striving toward ambitious goals, hiring and rallying a team around those goals, and leveraging data to help you achieve those goals via methodical execution
- Successful track record of managing forecasts with accuracy and predictability
- Strong math skills with the ability to swiftly understand complex deal mechanics with multiple, interrelated levers
- Be able to manage up to leaders with expectations of excellence and an unbridled will to win.
Estimated Pay Range: $230,000 - $270,000 per year OTE*
*The target base salary range for this position is listed above. Individual salaries are determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, work location and job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Incentive compensation will be provided as part of a total compensation package.
